Welcome
Hi. Welcome to the website. The buttons above should help direct you to the information you need, but I thought I might give you a “studio tour” before you start.
As you drive down Milto
n Circuit, it becomes obvious where the studio is. There’s parking in front, as well as a large car park alongside. As you enter the studio, you’ll notice that it’s set up like a dancer’s “club”, rather than a “school”. There’s a small bar area, tables and chairs, soft lighting and candlelight. It’s not at all unusual to see people arrive with their dinner, microwave it, open a bottle of red wine, and sit down to eat by candlelight before the class starts.
The studio is fully air conditioned, and the sound system is fantastic. You’ll notice that you recognise many of the songs that are playing, and that there are very few “formula tracks specifically for dancing.” The age group can range from 20 to 70, and most would be in the 30 – 55 age bracket.
The studio is often referre
d to as “Fantasy land”. Day to day reality has no place here. In here, dancing is king. It doesn’t matter what you do outside, in here the pecking order is based on how well you hold the girl in the Tango embrace, or whether your rumba hip action has that sensual elegance that the other girls can’t match. If the Prime Minister of Australia was here, she’d just be Julia who’s working on something that’s not quite right in her ocho footwork.
And she’d be loving it.
If you’ve read this far, and not yet been here, then it’s time to take a walk on the wild side. Jump in with both feet. I’ll make sure one of them is a right foot. Clearly, you’re interested, otherwise you wouldn’t be here in the first place. Time to stop the “Oh, I always wanted to learn to dance, but, you know …”
Give me a call. I know you’ll love it.
Michael.
